Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

Ingredients:
  • 2.75 cups of all purpose flour
  • 1.25 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2.5 sticks unsalted butter, softened
  • 1.25 cups packed dark-brown sugar
  • 0.75 cups of sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Baking Steps:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Combine dry ingredients.
  3. Beat butter and sugars with a mixer on medium-high speed until pale and fluffy; about 4 minutes.
  4. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
  5. Reduce to low speed and add the dry ingredients; beat until combined. Mix in chocolate chips.
  6. Drop about 3 tablespoon dough balls onto parchment-lined baking sheets about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake until golden around around the edges but soft in the middle; about 15 minutes.
  8. Let cool for 5 minutes and then transfer to a wire rack to completely cool.
